Kerala Education Loan Repayment Scheme:

Kerala Education Loan Repayment Scheme 2018 has launched by the Kerala State Government. The main aim of this scheme is to reduce the burden of families taking an education loan for their children. Under this scheme, applicants can take Up to Rs 9 lakh loan. The last date of the application is October 31st, 2017.

Eligibility for Kerala Education Loan Repayment Scheme 2018:

  • The education loans available at banks in Kerala along Co-operative and Gramin banks
  • Students who take the admission under the merit quota or government form the recognized institution are eligible
  • Nurses who default their loan should apply this scheme if they took the admissions under management quota
  • Family income should be less than Rs 6 lakhs per annum
  • Relaxation applies for the disabled and parents of deceased students. And they refer the government order for clarifications

  • Aadhar card
  • 10th class mark certificate
  • Educational certificates
  • Bank statements
  • Disability/salary certificate

How To Registered Kerala Education Loan Repayment Scheme Through Online:

  1. Registration Process:

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on “Student registration” option

  • The student registration form will be displayed
  • Fill the information carefully and upload mentioned documents
  • And click on Submit button
  1. Filling Claim application:

  • After completion of successful registration, the applicant will get the userID or application number and password sent to your registered mobile number and email id
  • Login to the portal and follow the below instructions to make your user id and password
  • Name of spouse/parent/guardian
  • Applicant Full permanent address
  • Details of the professional course studied (for which the education loan was availed)
  • Whether Management and NRI Quota or not
  • Details of co-borrower (in case of student deceased or suffered 80% & more disability)
  • Category of the student
  • Details of the bank from which loan was availed
  • Date of completion of course
  • Details of the loan availed
  • Present Annual income of the family
  • The amount repaid (interest subvention shall not be treated as repayment for this scheme)
  • Date of occurrence of disability/death in the case of deceased student /student with 80% or more disability
  • Present employment details of the student, Present Annual income of the student (not applicable for deceased student/student with 80% or more disability)
  • Choosing Govt Support category
  • Details of relief availed under any other scheme (if any)
  1. Claim online submission:

  • After completing the application process and uploading documents, applicants can choose the claim online submission through the portal
  • In bank submit signed printout of application along with original documents:
  • After successful submission, applicants take the pdf copy of application form with the uploaded certificates
  • And the duly signature with original uploaded documents is to submit at bank branch where loan maintained
  1. Remitting borrowers contribution in advance with a bank:

  • The cross verification will be done by the bank
  • Incomplete application forms will return with reasons through online
  • If the applicant successfully completes the registration process and the bank will arrive claim amount, then information comes through the portal
  • The applicant has remit his share in his loan account within 90 days from the intimation date (does not remit then the application will return through the portal)
  • Applicants will get an opportunity to resubmit the application after rectifying the defects
